Default Update on the V6 build...

Its about almost a year since I last posted here. Still in the Air Force, now stationed in Las Vegas, Nellis AFB. Since the re-enlistment and the move, I was able to pick up a good chunk of money, which went into the build. Think the last time I posted, I only bought a few major modifcations, and left it at that. Now, the cars build is almost done. The stroker has been payed for in full for both parts and labor to get it together, now to strip the car down from all the V6 stuff and upgraded to the GT or Terminator parts I bought for it. Should be the next month or so, and itll be ready for a few dyno pulls then a track date. Since Im not at home, the work is being done by a real good friend of mine, been building race cars for a good time now, though I think Im his first V6 car to work on. Were both pretty stoked at the outcome so far. Heres some details and pics for kicks..

More pics!

Now that the forged internals are in, the balancer shaft was removed and the passages are on their way to be filled, then back into the car. The rebuilt 8.8 is on the car now, safe to say the suspension up front has been swapped to the tubular stuff, and the cobra fuel cell was being installed last I spoke to pete. More to come soon!

So after spending a whole damn day of tracking down people Ive bought parts from since 2007, found out the aftermarket K-member I bought from him is NOT the brand of QA1. Its UPR Chromoly, so that just adds more to the weight reduction. Believe the difference with the two is 10lbs; swapping to the QA1 gives you 30 less pounds while the UPR one gives you 40 less, at least, thats what Ive researched...............

That made my day, hooray!

Bought some Steeda LCAs earlier this week. That pretty much does the rear for now.

Scored brand new subframe connectors earlier today for $15, aint that a freakin steal? *ahem....

Bought some performance rotors off Craigslist [looks to be BAER] and I was going to slap them on the 1995 yesterday. Well, they didnt fit, not that the spacing was off, but the center where the hub is wouldnt go all the way through, the diameters of the center were off by just a few millimeters between the stock one and the drilled one. The guy posted 1994-2004, so I figured heck why not, alot of other **** is interchangable.

*buzzer* WRONG!

So the rear rotors will be going to the Sixxx back home and the fronts will be going to the wifey. lol.

Here is my new addition. Bought this all today from a local guy who was gonna put it all on his V6, and his plans fell through. Sold it to me for $60 bucks. The pod, Oil Temp gauge, Water Temp gauge, and Tranny Temp gauge.

I prolly wont use all the gauges, Ill use the tranny temp and replace the others for a boost gauge and maybe something else...... air/fuel maybe? still looking for an xd-16...

Engine is complete...

...and the tranny finally got the stall and J-Mod installed.

Other pics!

Still looking for minor stuff. I thought I found a deal for a Procharger Big Red BPV, but he didn't have the flange and wanted as much money for it as of it were new WITH the flange. So that dropped.......... Looking to get an XD-16 wideband as well, too bad TMA isn't open anymore, I could really use some of those fuel rails.

Other than that, everything is coming together real nice.

Though Lethal Performance, I bought an ultra-grip 3.2" procharger pulley made from Reichard Racing. Found a mod for an upgraded tensioner pulley to lessen the risk of belt slippage, got that done, too. Should be all on the way home within the next few days.

One last thing to buy... an XD-16 wideband...
