N.D.R.R.A. X275

X275 is a extreme 275 drag radial class.
Updated 1-7-10

X275 is an 1/8 mile heads-up class run on a .400 pro tree with a pro ladder. X275 is an all run field. Courtesy staging and auto-start is in effect.


TIRES:
01* All cars must compete on a Drag Radial type tire with the sidewall designation 275/60/15 or 275/50/15.

BODY:
02* All body panels other than hood and spoiler must have stock dimensions, no part may have exposed fasteners except the hood and deck lid, Lexan must look like stock glass from 15' away
03* Any hood and scoop permitted.
04* Must retain firewall in the stock location
05* Must measure within 1" of factory wheelbase, body may not be moved from stock location
06* Must have all working stock type headlights and taillights
07* No gutted interior, must have carpet, door panels and factory type dash.

CHASSIS & SUSPENSION:
08* Stock style suspension or 3 link ladder bar cars only. Four links are prohibited.
09* Complete stock frame rails must be retained. Back-halved cars are not permitted. Front core support may be modified or removed.
10* Rack and pinion conversions allowed
11* Mini tubs are allowed. Rear frame rails may be notched for clearance.
12* Pre 1979 vehicles may have a bolt on aftermarket subframe front end.
13* Pre 1974 Mustangs and Falcons may have a Mustang II front suspension conversion
14* Bolt on tubular K-member and A-arms are permitted
15* Front and rear coil-over conversions are allowed. Rear leaf springs, shocks, and coil-overs may be moved to accommodate tire clearance.
16* No wheelie bars allowed.

ENGINE:
17* Maximum displacement for all engines is 640ci. No 4.6" or larger bore space blocks.
18* GM blocks are limited to a 10.2 deck height, Fords to a 10.3 and Mopars to a 10.7 deck height.
19* Small Block combinations may run any type induction.
20* Big Block combinations are limited to a single carburetor with cast intake.

FORCED INDUCTION:
21* Forced induction permitted on small blocks only.
22* Any type intercooler is permitted.
23* Single power adders only except on 2-rotor, 4-cylinder, and 6-cylinder cars.
24* Turbo limited to single true 88mm or smaller, no sleeves or reducers permitted to arrive at this measurement. The compressor wheel must be no larger than 88mm. Tech dis-assembly permitted for compressor wheel measurements if necessary.
25* Roots superchargers are limited to a 10-71. Screw superchargers are not permitted.
26* Centrifugal superchargers are limited to a single F1R, Xi or smaller.

NITROUS OXIDE:
27* Small block is permitted to run any type multi-stage nitrous system (cars equipped with canted valve heads are limited to 2 nitrous stages).
28* Big blocks are limited to a single stage nitrous system (A single stage fogger is permitted or if using a single plate then your limited to 1 fuel solenoid, 1 nitrous solenoid, and 1 purge solenoid). 2nd system plates must be removed and fogger plumbing removed. Fogger nozzles can remain individually capped off.
29* All nitrous purge discharge tubes must be pointed away from any openings in the hood and the plume must be visibly all outside the engine bay.

EXHAUST:
30* Mufflers or inserts are required on all cars except for turbo cars. Exhaust may exit underneath car or out the front fenders.

FUEL:
31* Gasoline only is permitted. Methanol or E-85 or other derivatives are prohibited except on roots positive displacement blowers.


MINIMUM WEIGHTS WITH DRIVER:
Small Block
* Naturally Aspirated 2600 lbs.
* Nitrous 3000 lbs.
* Single YSI / F1A Supercharger 3000 lbs.
* Single F1C Supercharger 3100 lbs.
* Single F1R / Xi Supercharger 3200 lbs.
* Single 76mm T6 Turbocharger 3000 lbs.
* Single 80mm T6 Turbocharger 3100 lbs.
* Single 85mm T6 Turbocharger 3200 lbs.
* Single 88mm T6 Turbocharger 3250 lbs.
* Roots blown up to 10-71 3250 lbs.
Big Block
* Naturally Aspirated (standard deck height and conventional head) 2900 lbs.
* Naturally Aspirated (tall deck height and conventional head) 3000 lbs.
* Naturally Aspirated (standard height and Big Chief head or non-conventional) 3100 lbs.
* Nitrous (conventional head short deck big block less than 541ci) 3200 lbs.
* Nitrous (conventional head tall deck standard bore space or larger than 540ci) 3300 lbs.
* Nitrous (Big Chief or non-conventional head) 3400 lbs. Limited to a single spray bar plate and a single nitrous solenoid of maximum 1" diameter. No SV1 type carbs.

* Small Blocks with 23 degree Chevy heads, 20 degree Ford heads, and 18 degree Mopar heads: deduct 100 lbs.
* Non-Intercooled cars: deduct 50 lbs.


PROCEDURE
* Once a racer takes the tree in qualifying they are counted in the ladder, will receive participation points and may not get an entree refund.
* All cars must be driven from the pit area to the starting line but may be towed back after a pass.
* Rules are subject to change and any combination that shows to have an definite advantage can be penalized to equalize the competition.
* Weather and time permitting, there will be 2 qualifying sessions. The quickest time will be the official qualifying time. Racers will be paired according to a pro-ladder. Driver with the quicker E.T. in the previous round during eliminations will have lane choice.
* Each car may only have 3 crew members in the staging area.
* Deep staging allowed at drivers own risk, no provisions made to hold the tree for the driver.

* If a race ends for any reason during a round of competition
no points will be given for that unfinished round.

* Any minor intentional or unintentional rule infraction that does not
cause a definite advantage will result in loss of any points and winnings achieved while in violation.

* Any intentional rule infraction done to gain advantage over the competition will result in a suspension from King of the Streets races for up to one year and no less than 2 races.

* A round does not begin until a KOTS official working the lanes says so.
* A driver does not start his burn out until an official says so.
* Once we signal the burn outs each driver has 1 minute to stage the car completely after the burnout. No just sitting there for no reason, you can be forced to stage by any KOTS official or the track starter.
* If a driver refuses to stage or is unable to stage or proceed to burnout after an official has told them to, the drivers will be disqualified during eliminations or loose their qualifying attempt for that round during qualifying.
* All drivers must be ready when called to the burnout box and must pull into his lane immediately when motioned up by an official or he will loose that round.
* If a driver double bulbs, the other driver does not have to pull up to the first beam. He can make the other driver back out and prestage again.
* Treat the other driver the way you want to be treated.
* If you have a problem with another driver or team, take it up with me (in an civil manner) not the other driver or team. If anyone starts an altercation with anyone else (right or wrong) they will not be allowed in the competition area for a year (the instigator only not the entire team).

I usually go to both of the civil war races but the first one this year is the same weekend as the BMC Anniversary, Mustangs in the Mountains. Maybe I can go to the second one.
